Grants.gov

      This Federal grants Web site allows organizations to electronically find and apply for current competitive grant opportunities from all Federal agencies.  You can check on notices of funding availability posted in the last seven days, sign up to receive e-mail notification of future grant opportunities, and apply for Federal grants online through a unified process.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)

      This publication is issued annually and updated continuously on the Web.  It describes approximately 1,600 Federal grants and non-financial assistance programs.  You can identify programs that might support your projects and can learn their requirements and application procedures.  The CFDA is available in print in Federal Depository Libraries

      This Web site includes information on Federal homeland security and public safety grants.

Disaster Assistance

      Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster assistance falls into three general categories: Individual and Households; Public Assistance for emergency services and repair or replacement of damaged public facilities; and Hazard Mitigation funding to reduce future losses to public and private property.

This Web site contains a free online screening tool to identify government benefits and how to apply. It covers direct payment, loan, insurance, training, or other services.

      You can receive guidance in formulating Federal grant applications, including initial proposal development, basic components of a proposal, review recommendations, and referral to Federal guidelines and literature.

      To better develop a grant proposal, you should search a department or agency's home page to learn more about its programs and objectives.

Private Funding Sources

New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits

      NHCN provides information about the State's nonprofit sector, NH-focused funding opportunities, tools for nonprofits, training opportunities, and other resources.

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

      One of the country's largest community foundations, the NHCF awards grants and scholarships and assists in the establishment of charitable funds.

The Foundation Center

      The Center provides information about private funding sources, the grantseeking process, guidelines on writing a grant proposal, addresses of State libraries with grants reference collections, and links to other useful Internet Web sites. They produce a Guide to Funding Research, a Proposal Writing Short Course, the Foundation Finder, and daily postings of private Requests for Proposals.  The Center maintains a comprehensive database on foundations; produces print, Web, and CD-ROM directories and guides; conducts research and publishes studies in the field; and offers a variety of training and educational seminars.

The Grantsmanship Center

      TGCI provides resources for grantseekers including daily grant announcements from the Federal Register and indexes of funding sources at the local, federal, and international levels.  They offer over 150 workshops annually, including the intensive, week-long Grantsmanship Training Program.
