Internship Experience
In February 2007, I began my internship for the newly-elected Congressman from New Hampshire’s Second District, Paul Hodes. The office was friendly and welcoming, and soon I was getting a behind the scenes look at politics in Washington. Working with the staff, I learned about the legislative process, press, research, constituent services, and decision making. Each day was an opportunity for a new lesson, experience, and a chance to have fun in the process.
Entering my senior year at Drew University, I now feel confident in my knowledge of the policy making process and I am proud to have played an active role in it. Interning for Congressman Hodes has been one of my most rewarding life experiences. I will never forget the lessons learned or the friends made in the office. I feel fortunate to have interned for my Congressman, and I feel even more fortunate to know that Congressman Hodes and his dedicated staff are representing me.
